Acceptable File Formats & Applications Applications • QuarkXpress 5.0 • Adobe Illustrator 10.0 • Adobe Photoshop 7.0 • InDesign 2.0 • Freehand 8 • Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 File Formats Photoshop • The file must be 300 dpi at 100% actual size for quality offset reproduction. • Files should be saved as tiff, eps (create outlines of all fonts or include all fonts), jpeg, or pdf (embed all fonts) Illustrator/Freehand • Files to be saved as eps • All fonts to be included or outlines created • If files have embedded artwork, include all files. Quark/InDesign/Pagemaker • Include all fonts • Include all graphics • If the file is not actual size, specify what percentage the file is created • If the file is to be printed 4 colour process, convert all spot colours to CMYK Acceptable Media • CD • Zip • Ftp (info supplied on request) • Email – copy your sales representative and send artwork to esp1@ns.sympatico.ca Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can be accepted for ‘colour copy’ jobs only. Artwork can be recreated from these file formats if film is required. Always provide a hard copy of files sent.
